About the role

The engineer shall be working on Projects in Manufacturing Engineering, shall produce desired quality BIW Fixture designs, detailing & documentations independently while working & contributing in a team. The engineer also contributes to the verification and validation processes required to create quality deliverables to the customers of the company. As an integral part of the technical team the engineers shall work towards learning & development of self and team members, communicate seamlessly with the team, other departments, management, and external parties.

Responsibilities 

  • Understand the project tasks and related technical aspects thoroughly
  • Create a task break up and plan for the timely delivery of the tasks assigned
  • Interact with the team leads to collect maximum inputs on the assigned project tasks
  • Record the work details in the required trackers and time sheets
  • Utilize the allocated IT infrastructure to produce effective billable efforts
  • Set self-targets and strive to achieve them in tandem with the team goals
  • Take ownership of the technical deliveries made by self and be responsible for the quality delivered
  • Act as a key contributor in resolving technical issues or complicated project situations which arises from time to time in any projects
  • Learn from the team members and peers and raise requests for required trainings
  • Produce good project outputs / deliverables which is in conformance with the Quality plan and customer standards
  • Record the new learning from the projects and present it in various forums
  • Act as Team lead-in-charge in the absence of Team Leader
  • Track and Monitor the performance, attendance and work trends of self
  • Guide and mentor junior members within the team & support Team Leaders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in similar roles for 4-6 years in Manufacturing Engineering background
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Out-of-the-box thinking and presenting skills
  • Ability to articulate and influence others
  • Energetic & self-motivated front runner with a zeal for accomplishment
  • Good functional and technological awareness of Automotive Assembly lines (Car body / Painting / Powertrain / E-Drive)
  • Hands on experience in BIW Fixture Tool Design projects
  • Good exposure on European & US OEM standards, GD&T, DFM and Design Standards
  • Onsite experience at Client workplace will be an added advantage
  • Educational qualification – Diploma / B Tech (Mech or related)
  • Software skills – NX (preferably with Daimler Supplier package experience)

2. BIM Coordinator / Manager

About the role

BIM Coordinator shall be working on construction projects, shall involve in the project initial discussions, collect all project data, estimate the efforts, communicate with customer on all technical aspects and independently handle the project, team members and deliveries as per customer requirements. As an integral part of the technical team the coordinator shall work towards learning & development of self, communicate seamlessly with the team and other departments.

BIM Manager shall be responsible for the overall department performance, team members, AEC projects with Architectural, Structural and MEP contents, deliveries and P&L of the business. He / Sher shall involve in customer interactions, RFQ stage, Project Estimation and costing, project initial discussions and RFI, customer interactions on all technical/commercial/scheduling aspects and independently own the projects in line with customer expectations. As an integral part of the organization, BIM manager shall work towards learning & development of self & team, communicating seamlessly with the team coordinators, other departments and management.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Understand the RFQs, Project Efforts, Team requirements and related technical aspects thoroughly
  • Create a Project Plan including schedule of deliveries in agreement with the customer
  • Set up execution team, train them on required competencies and manage the team
  • Assign, track, monitor and approve the team tasks on the project
  • Prepare the required trackers and time sheets
  • Plan and allocate IT infrastructure to produce effective billable efforts
  • Project and model reviews using CAD platforms and management tools
  • Set self-targets and strive to achieve them in tandem with the team goals
  • Take ownership of the technical deliveries and quality delivered
  • Verification and validation of project deliverables
  • Act as a key contributor in resolving technical issues or complicated project situations which arises from time to time in any projects
  • Seamlessly communicate with all project stakeholders
  • Record the new learning from the projects and present it in various forums
  • Responsible for the P&L of the department (BIM Manager)

Job Qualifications:

  • Considerable working experience in AEC domain
  • Good functional and technical knowledge of BIM and related process & activities
  • Experience on Technology platforms like AutoDesk Revit / AutoCAD / Navisworks / BIM 360
  • Educational qualification – Diploma / B Tech (Civil or Mech). Certifications / course completed related AEC will be added advantage
  • Expertise in at least one of the disciplines – Architectural / Structural / MEP and knowledge on the others
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent team building and leadership skills
  • Experience up to 10 years (BIM Coordinators) and above (Managers)

3. Lead – BIW Tooling

About the role

The Lead (TL/PL/Manager) shall be handling Projects in Manufacturing Engineering to produce desired quality BIW tooling designs, detailed engineering & documentation independently. He / She shall be working with a team and responsible for the team output. The Lead also contributes to the verification and validation processes required to create quality deliverables to the customers of the company. As an integral part of the technical team the lead shall work towards learning & development of self and team members, communicate seamlessly with the team, other departments, management, and external parties.

Responsibilities 

  • Build, motivate and maintain high performing technical teams
  • Understand the project tasks and related technical aspects thoroughly from customer
  • Create technical proposals against RFQ / RFP
  • Create project plans, task break ups and schedule the projects
  • Interact with the customer to collect maximum inputs for projects assigned
  • Allocate daily tasks, update trackers, monitor team outputs and infrastructure utilization
  • Set self-targets and strive to achieve them in tandem with the project goals
  • Conduct design reviews and record the results internally and with customer
  • Produce good project outputs / deliverables in conformance with the customer requirements
  • Take ownership of the project deliveries and be responsible for the quality delivered
  • Act as a key contributor in resolving technical issues or complicated project situations
  • Assess the team and raise requests for required trainings
